Why are people required to take parenting classes before they become a foster parent, but not a blood parent?

Why is it that the law requires people to take parenting classes before they become a foster parent, but..
When a couple is expecting a biological child, the law doesn’t require them to take any classes.

That sounds one-sided to me; shouldn’t all soon-to-be-parents be held to the same standards?
Why are temporary parents required to do stuff that permanent parents dont have to do?
I would think that permanent parents should have higher standards.
Why do the temporary parents have higher standards?

What holiday is most exploited to convert people to Christianity?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Many people exploit a holiday to evangelize Christianity. An example is Christmas was mainly a pagan holiday to celebrate the winter solstice but was turned into supposed day to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Easter is used to spread the idea a man rose from the dead who is the supposed savior.

So what do you think is the main holiday used/exploited to convert people to Christianity?

Provide your insight to this.

Any ideas for Hobbies for my grandmother to do since my grandfather passed away?

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

My grandfather had passed away less than a week ago & my grandmother is currently living at the same house but my uncle is taking care of her. She is able to do almost everything, because she is only 63. Does anyone have any ideas for hobbies or crafts for her to do? I am planning on buying her a few hobbies to do. I have came up with a journal, and a puzzle. But I can’t think of anything else. IDEAS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks!
