I can tell you that the company is expanding rapidly and they aren’t sparing expense in doing it. It took them about two weeks to go from breaking ground to completed project when they were building the third Lowe’s in my area. Based on the fact that there are three of them within 50 miles of each other in my area, I would say that demand for their services is increasing rapidly. At least in Tennessee.
Also, with expansions like this, Lowe’s will be adding jobs to the market, which could help slightly improve living conditions in the areas that they are opening up in. With the market the way that it is right now, this is important for people in my area
Dan:
I really wouldn’t be any help on answering questions concerning their financial situation, ie, stocks and their worth and whether they would be a good investment or not.
As for the continued success of the company as a hardware chain I think they will continue to thrive in that aspect. I see Lowe’s stores everywhere. They are large fully stocked stocked stores and have very helpful employees who will go out of their way to help you. So in that aspect I think they will continue to grow.
On a personal note I always prefer Lowe’s over the others for a variety of reasons: well lighted, clean, helpful and knowledgeable employees, well stocked, they always have what I am looking for and their prices are reasonable.
I hope that helps you somewhat, Sincerely Ken P.
Lowe’s is a very well invested company which has not had to lay off a single person during this difficult economic environment. They are, however being very cautious in controlling expenses and this will help them make it through these tough times. My prediction is that when the economy improves, Lowe’s will come out stronger than ever.
