But one thing: a lot of people will come ONCE for a certain item, but if you don't know a lot about that type of item, they won't be back. Take model trains for instance. THe shopkeepers had better be able to carry on a conversation about model trains and know their stuff or else the train guys won't be back. And you wouldn't really even know which trains to stock if you don't know the market. So sell what you know, and do a great job at it. You don't want to have a ton of square footage dedicated to stuff you don't know anything about. You’ve got a lot of good ideas.
